Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the compliance of factories with social and environmental standards, regulations, and best practices. The role will involve conducting comprehensive audits, assessing social and environmental performance, and providing recommendations to enhance sustainability and corporate responsibility.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Audit Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope and objectives of social and environmental audits. Develop audit plans, schedules, and checklists to guide the auditing process.
∎ On-Site Assessments: Conduct on-site visits to company facilities, suppliers, and other relevant locations to assess social and environmental practices. Interview employees, management, and stakeholders to gather information and insights.
∎ Compliance Evaluation: Evaluate the company's adherence to national and international social and environmental regulations, industry standards, and corporate policies.
∎ Document Review: Review company policies, procedures, and records related to environmental impact, labor practices, health and safety, supplier codes of conduct, and other relevant areas.
∎ Performance Metrics Analysis: Analyse social and environmental performance metrics, such as energy consumption, waste management, greenhouse gas emissions, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and community engagement programs.
∎ Risk Assessment: Identify potential social and environmental risks and issues, and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes.
∎ Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with various stakeholders, including local communities, and worker representatives, to understand concerns and gather feedback.
∎ Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, observations, and recommendations. Clearly communicate audit results to management and relevant stakeholders.
∎ Corrective Action Recommendations: Propose actionable and realistic recommendations to address compliance gaps and improve social and environmental performance.
∎ Follow-Up Audits: Monitor the progress of corrective actions and conduct follow-up audits to ensure that identified issues are adequately resolved.
∎ Compliance Education: Provide guidance and training to employees and management on social and environmental compliance requirements and best practices.
∎ Industry and Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about the latest developments in social and environmental regulations, industry standards, and emerging sustainability trends.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years

∎ Proven experience in auditing, preferably in social and environmental compliance or related areas.
∎ Strong knowledge of national and international social and environmental regulations, standards, and frameworks.
∎ Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
∎ Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
∎ Ethical conduct and the ability to maintain objectivity and impartiality during audits.
∎ Familiarity with sustainability concepts and corporate social responsibility principles.
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple audit projects simultaneously.
∎ Proficiency in using relevant auditing tools and software.
∎ Willingness to travel to various locations for on-site audits.
