Job Context:
∎ Project: Protibesh/Ecosystem Activity
∎ No. of Vacancies: 02 (Sylhet Division-01, Khulna Division-01)
∎ Expected Joining Date: 15 January 2022
∎ The Protibesh project is funded by USAID which focuses on three result areas including i) Strengthening environmental governance and management; ii) Mitigating biodiversity threats and iii) Advancement of market-based incentives that promote sustainable natural resources management under the Development Objective "Strengthened Resilience to Natural Hazards." The goal of Protibesh is to improve ecosystem conservation in and around targeted key biodiversity areas of Bangladesh such as northeast haor areas and southwest Sundarbans. CNRS will be engaged in implementing project activities at the ground level with the technical support of Chemonics International.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time (up to May 2026)
∎ Job Location: Any location of North-East and South-West Region of Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure all accounts and administrative functions of the project at regional level.
∎ Assist in delivery of support to site-level.
∎ Assists in reviews of management plans
∎ Illustrative activities:
∎ Maintain site accounts and CMOs/CBOs accounts
∎ Prepare all sorts of Vouchers of all transactions with proper supporting documents
∎ Perform and maintain banking related issues including Bank Reconciliation Report
∎ Maintain General ledger, Cash & Check book, Advance register, and Petty Cash
∎ Assist and facilitate day to day financial record keeping and monthly financial reporting of grants projects with CMOs/CBOs at the site
∎ Check and make payment Travel Expenses Reports, Conveyance bill etc.
∎ Arrangement of different logistics support services such as stationeries, photocopying, vehicle, refreshments, office cleaning, etc.
∎ Affix Revenue Stamp; Deduct Income taxes at source as applicable, and deposit to Govt. treasury
∎ Prepare monthly Financial report with necessary supporting and timely submission
∎ Assist Annual external audit, reviews as well as internal monitoring
∎ Maintain Fixed asset registers, stock register, ensure affix ID numbers, and keep track of items
∎ Filling and preservation of financial vouchers, HR related files in a confidential manner
∎ Any other activities as assign
∎ Any other activities as assigned by the respective management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3-year experience in maintaining books and records and accounts of development project, preferably USAID funded project.
∎ Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill
∎ Excellent reporting skill in English
∎ Understanding of local culture and dialects
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village level
∎ To protect children in connection and uphold safeguarding principles
∎ Having problem solving and prompt decision making capacity
∎ Ability to work under pressure
∎ Having non-discriminatory and gender sensitive perception
∎ Willingness and ability to drive motorcycle in the field as and when required; Valid driving license is an added advantage

∎ BDT 40,986/month and other admissible benefits.
