Educational Requirements:
∎ University degree in Arts, Psychology or Social Work or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or
∎ School diploma with five years of relevant professional experience

∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan and collaborate with other RCMC/MHPSS field staff to curate cultural activities, occasional or special events displays, exhibitions and art workshops for community members including women, children, the elderly, youth and persons with disabilities.
∎ Support the development of the curricula for Master classes in collaboration with Rohingya artisans and agents, supervise the execution of the master classes in different camps in under guidance of the RCMC Project officer to expand the Rohingya cultural knowledge and techniques sharing process among the larger Rohingya communities in camp. 3. Engage actively in workshops with Rohingya individuals and key community members to define how their identity and cultural stories should be portrayed, promoted and archived.
∎ Identify and engage key creative men,women and youth, nurture their talent through creative processes, and monitor the production of visual cultural outcomes.
∎ Support the RCMC Project Field Coordinator in the day-to-day management at site level of an effective coordination system of service provision of the Rohingya Cultural Memory Centre (RCMC).
∎ Coordinate with the RCMC team, administrative assistant and Procurement team to ensure sourcing of materials, equipment and other necessary materials to support RCMC arts based regular activities.
∎ Prepare and coordinate a weekly/monthly plan of art activities, including artist and artisan coordination. Weekly plans, team meetings, events and exchange programs, (ad-hoc training and producing outcomes for the RCMC collection.
∎ Collaborate with other agencies in partnership with the RCMC.
∎ Support relevant art workshops for volunteers, key community members and others.
∎ Document the processes and outputs resulting from workshops and archive accordingly in the RCMC repository/archive/website.
∎ Maintain appropriate links with different stakeholders and agencies including effective coordination and information exchange with them.
∎ Deliver curatorial tours for donor, partners, high level visits and press visits in collaboration with Rohingya volunteers and Agents.
∎ Provide support in consultation with content developers to produce cultural stories, research contents and materials for website, digital platforms, social media and all kind of events.
∎ Provide support on designing publications and communication materials, review and monitor digital contents.
∎ Curate and deliver temporary/permanent exhibitions and events within and outside the camp as may be assigned from time to time with close coordination with communication team and logistics team to promote mutual visions of RCMC and IOM.
∎ Support the curatorial functions and RCMC core team with any other tasks that might be identified or relevant to the nature of the project.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Previous experience managing and disseminating tasks with small teams
∎ Understanding of cultural diversity
∎ Experience in doing basic ethnographic research with refugee communities
∎ Previous experience in humanitarian environments
∎ Experience in producing work plans, setting goals and writing reports
∎ Working knowledge of MS Office and basic photography
∎ Previous experience teaching art or community arts programs
∎ Good practical knowledge of art techniques such sketching, drawing, embroidery, painting, lino print, woodcut, etc...
∎ Knowledge of textile arts and design is an asset
∎ Having attention for detail and ability to solve problems in creative ways
∎ Show sensibility while working with refugees
∎ Ability to work under pressure and out-of-working hours
∎ Practical knowledge of photography is an asset

∎ For all applicants, fluency in English and Bengali is required
∎ Working knowledge of local language is an advantage (Rohingya, Chittagonian, Burmese)

Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 108,505.42.
