Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies, plans, and targets for the area to meet or exceed revenue goals.
∎ Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, including Sales Representatives and Account Executives. Provide coaching and guidance to ensure team success.
∎ Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
∎ Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to drive business growth and client retention.
∎ Sales Forecasting: Create accurate sales forecasts and monitor sales performance against targets.
∎ Budget Management: Manage the budget for the area, including expenses, resources, and promotional activities.
∎ Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and team activities to senior management.
∎ Sales Training: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge.
∎ Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise in the sales process and find effective solutions.
∎ Compliance: Ensure that the team adheres to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
∎ Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
∎ Proven experience in sales and sales management, with a minimum of 8 years in total and 3 years in a managerial role.
∎ Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
∎ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
∎ Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
∎ Ability to travel within the designated area as needed.
∎ Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
∎ Strategic thinking and planning skills.
∎ Must-Have FMCG Background
∎ As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations within a designated geographic area.
