Position: Architect ( Interior & Construction ) – Design Development & Project Coordination

Company: Idealist Architects & Interior

Location: H.N Centre (1st Floor), M.M Ali Road, Dampara, Chattogram

Role Overview:

The Architect will lead the creative and technical design process for high-end interior & construction projects, from concept to completion. This role involves developing innovative design solutions, preparing detailed drawings, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating closely with clients, consultants, procurement and site teams to ensure the design vision is fully realized in execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Development:

• Develop concept designs, space plans, mood boards, and material palettes based on client requirements.

• Prepare working drawings, 3D visualizations, and technical specifications.

• Prepare detailed working drawings, detailed layouts, sections, and elevations for interior & construction.

• Create 3D models and realistic renderings for client presentations.

2. Material & Specification Management:

• Select furniture, fixtures, finishes, and ensure quality standards in line with project concepts.

• Prepare specification sheets and ensure all design elements meet quality and durability standards.

3. Project & Client Coordination:

• Liaise with clients to understand requirements, present design solutions, and obtain approvals.

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.

• Participate in client and consultant meetings to resolve design-related issues.

• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and project managers for smooth workflow.

4. Site Supervision & Quality Control

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress and verify compliance with drawings.

• Provide on-site guidance to ensure detailing and finishes match approved design standards.

• Supervise on-site work to ensure execution matches design intent.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain organized design files, drawings, and approvals.

• Submit weekly and monthly progress reports on design execution.

• Update drawings for any site or design modifications.

• Manage timelines, budgets, and design-related approvals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Interior Architecture from a reputed institution.

• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in interior design and project coordination.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max/V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, and MS Office.

• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, detailing, and space planning.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
