Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
∎
∎ Consistently delivers complex, innovative and complete solutions, driving them through design, planning, development, deployment and support that simplify business processes and workflows to drive business value
∎ Develop software solutions leveraging established Chevron technology standards and collaborate with internal partners to develop new technology standards as needs arise.
∎ Develop and share reusable software components and services, implement consistent automated builds and integrated builds, including managing build servers, build schedules, and build qualities.
∎ Maintain working knowledge of the latest software engineering tools and practices for continuous integration, unit tests, static and dynamic profiling, code coverage, code analysis, and automated tests.
∎ Work on designing and implementing APIs across platforms and solutions
∎ Design and develop data engineering, data integration and data management practices and tools.
∎ Develop RPA solutions to automate business workflows and processes
∎ Participate as an active member in embedded Agile teams to enable cross training and keeping skills current
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, SAAS, PAAS, IAAS etc)
∎ 8-10 years' experience in Object Oriented Design and Programming, fluent in Microsoft .NET and/or Java, proficient in applying common design patterns, ability to communicate design ideas effectively
∎ Familiar with software development methodologies or tools (e.g. DevOps, Prototyping, AGILE/Scrum/SAFe, ADO, UiPath, PowerApps, Azure Logic Apps, etc).
∎ Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as clustering, decision tree learning, and artificial neural networks
∎ Experience using statistical computer languages such as R, Python, SQL, etc.
∎ Exceptional object-oriented programming and debugging skills in Microsoft .NET and/or Java
∎ Experience in IT development, deployment and support best practices along with an understanding of application support environments.
∎ A keen eye for good architecture and the ability to develop new architectures and frameworks
∎ Knowledge of security/access control, scalability, high availability, concurrency, online diagnoses, deployment, upgrade/migration, internationalization, production support and other SaaS enterprise software issues
∎ Proficient in major development tools and processes, such as source control, requirement spec, design and design review, unit test, system test, performance test, etc
∎ Proven ability to take leadership role in projects that span multiple teams, ability to deliver on time working in a fast-paced agile environment, ability to work with product managers to clarify and prune requirements, strong verbal and written communication
∎ Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
∎ Critical thinking and ability to handle urgent and multiple competing priorities.
∎ Acts with sense of urgency.
