∎ Experience:
∎ Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role within the garment or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, BEPZA Act & Rules. Experience managing large teams and overseeing HR operations in a factory or production environment.
∎ • Skills:
∎ o Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
∎ o Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
∎ o In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws/ EPZ Law & Rules, and employment standards.
∎ o Ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics and KPIs to drive decision-making.
∎ o Proficient in HR software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. HR Strategy & Leadership:
∎ o Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and operational needs.
∎ o Partner with senior leadership to influence business decisions from an HR perspective and drive the company’s HR objectives.
∎ o Advise senior management on workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
∎ 2. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
∎ o Lead the recruitment process to meet staffing needs for the garment production facility, ensuring timely hiring of qualified employees.
∎ o Oversee the talent acquisition team to attract and retain skilled workers at all levels.
∎ o Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, screen candidates, and implement effective selection processes.
∎ 3. Employee Relations & Engagement:
∎ o Develop and implement programs to ensure employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
∎ o Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts, ensuring a positive work environment.
∎ o Promote a culture of respect, teamwork, and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
∎ o Organize and facilitate employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
∎ 4. Training & Development:
∎ o Identify skill gaps and lead the development of training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring alignment with operational needs and industry standards.
∎ o Oversee the onboarding and induction process for new employees to ensure smooth integration into the company.
∎ o Ensure continuous learning and career development opportunities for employees.
∎ 5. Performance Management:
∎ o Design and implement effective performance management systems, including performance reviews, feedback mechanisms, and goal-setting.
∎ o Ensure alignment between individual employee performance and company objectives.
∎ o Provide coaching and support to managers in handling performance issues and developing their teams.
∎ 6. Compensation & Benefits Management:
∎ o Oversee the development and management of competitive compensation and benefits packages that align with industry standards and local regulations.
∎ o Lead salary reviews, incentive programs, and employee welfare initiatives.
∎ o Ensure compliance with national labor laws and statutory requirements related to compensation, benefits, and working hours.
∎ 7. Labor Compliance & Legal Issues:
∎ o Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with local labor laws, government regulations, and industry standards.
∎ o Oversee the documentation of employee records and ensure proper compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
∎ o Manage relationships with labor unions and ensure smooth labor negotiations and dispute resolution, if applicable.
∎ 8. HR Analytics & Reporting:
∎ o Utilize HR metrics and analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including employee turnover, retention rates, training effectiveness, and other HR-related metrics.
∎ o Regularly report HR performance and trends to senior leadership and suggest data-driven improvements to HR practices.
∎ o Continuously evaluate HR processes and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
∎ 9. Health, Safety & Welfare:
∎ o Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees by complying with occupational health and safety regulations.
∎ o Promote wellness programs and initiatives to improve the overall well-being of employees.

∎ o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team.
∎ o Ensure the team is equipped with the skills, tools, and knowledge to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
∎ o Conduct regular team meetings, provide feedback, and ensure ongoing professional development for HR personnel.
