Job Context
Meghna Hotel & Resorts Limited (MHRL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is executing a major construction project in Dhaka, Bangladesh featuring modern and elegant architectural design. To support this prestigious development, MHRL is seeking a competent and experienced professional for the position of AGM/DGM – Architecture.
The incumbent will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and managing all architectural aspects of the project to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery. The role involves close coordination with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle. The AGM/DGM – Architecture will report directly to the Project Director.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all architectural activities for ongoing projects from concept design through project completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, project requirements, and approved timelines.
Review, evaluate, and coordinate architectural designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, quality standards, and project expectations.
Manage and provide strategic direction to architects, designers, and draftsmen by assigning responsibilities, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development to build a high-performing team.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities to facilitate effective communication, resolve design-related issues, and ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress through regular design reviews and site inspections to ensure construction activities comply with approved architectural plans, specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Establish and implement architectural quality assurance procedures to maintain design integrity, construction quality, and adherence to organizational standards across all projects.
Prepare, monitor, and control architectural budgets, evaluate design costs, and recommend value-engineering solutions to optimize project expenditures without compromising quality or functionality.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations on design modifications, material selection, space planning, and architectural solutions to support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of architectural requirements into overall project delivery.
Participate in project feasibility studies, master planning, concept development, and design review processes to ensure architectural considerations are effectively addressed at all stages of development.
Prepare and present project status reports, design updates, and strategic recommendations to senior management, ensuring timely communication of project performance, risks, and key decisions.
