Job Context:
∎ Save the Children invites applications for the above mentioned position for USAID`s MaMoni-Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project (MaMoni-MNCSP). The project contributes to Government of Bangladesh`s Health Population Nutrition Sector Program, with a focus to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality. This project supports implementation in 17 Districts and provides national level technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) to scale up evidence-based interventions and practices.
∎ Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply. Minimum requirements will be flexible for the potential female candidates.
∎ Contract length: Regular
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7 years of experience in working with government counterparts in developing and implementing operational plans among which 5 years of experience in newborn health.
∎ Proven track-record in providing technical support to various departments of MOH&FW in scaling up proven interventions/approaches;
∎ Ideal candidate should have good understanding of Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Plan (HPNSP) and National Newborn Health Programme (NNHP)
∎ A high level of proficiency in at least 1-2 technical areas related to NBH is highly required.
∎ Willingness and ability to work within Govt. system and clinical settings is a key requirement
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
