Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop custom, responsive WordPress websites, from simple informational sites to complex e-commerce builds and multi-sites using clean, logical, well-documented, and reusable code.
∎ Help shape project development decisions using best practices and accessibility standards.
∎ Manage our client support system providing timely resolution to reported problems with existing websites or assigning support tickets to other team members when applicable. Manage a WP Engine hosting environment that supports nearly 100 existing WordPress sites, including regular plugin updates and backups.
∎ Establish and guide website architecture, project priorities, timelines, scopes, and costs. Work in a local environment and push to staging/live as needed.
∎ Test plugin/theme compatibility before and after PHP / server upgrades. Interact and collaborate with others to solve problems.
∎ Work unsupervised when needed and remain self-motivated. Communicate well with coworkers and clients. Maintain strong attention to detail.
∎ Design, develop, and maintain websites using WordPress and Shopify platforms.
