• Experience: Minimum 12 years and above in relevant field

• Candidate who has completed ABIA/ CII will get first priority.

• Age minimum 37 years old.

Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka.

Job Context:

• Overall responsible for Insurance Underwriting

Major Responsibilities:

• Determine the level of risk for insuring or lending

• Support sales/ business development to ensure them a rock bottom price for bidding.

• Lead, mentor and supervise the underwriting team to ensure high performance and produce.

• Develop and implement underwriting policy(ies), procedures and risk guidelines.

• Stay updated on market trends and adjust practices accordingly.

• Oversee the evaluation of risks for new applications and ensure final decision align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Review and make final decisions on complex cases and handle escalated underwriting issue.

• Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company standards and legal regulations.

• Monitor daily workflow, identity service backlogs and implement changes to improve efficiency and meet goals

• Work with other departments such as sales/development, claims, accounts & Reinsurance to align strategies.
