Experience:

• Bachelor/Honors

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Disaster Management, or any relevant field.

• Age At most 45 years

• Minimum 5 years of experience in field-level project coordination. Candidates with relevant work experience will get preferences.

• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

• Experience working with local government institutions.

• Ability to prepare reports and work under pressure.

• Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to travel extensively within the working area.

• Age may be relaxed for experienced candidates in the relevant field.

Job Context: National Development Programme (NDP) is going to implement the Resilience Innovation Programme (RIP), funded by the World Food Programme (WFP), aimed at strengthening community resilience and ensuring effective support for shock-affected populations. NDP is inviting applications from qualified and eligible candidates for the position of Upazila Coordinator (UC) under this project. Appointment will be subject to donor approval.

Responsibilities/Tasks: 

• Coordinate all project activities at the Upazila level to ensure timely implementation.

• Develop weekly and monthly field plans and supervise Field Facilitators.

• Facilitate beneficiary selection, community meetings, and stakeholder consultations.

• Organize training sessions, community mobilization activities, and awareness campaigns.

• Maintain strong coordination with the Upazila administration, Union Parishad, and local service providers.

• Monitor field activities, verify data, and ensure accuracy before submission to M&E.

• Ensure distribution, cash transfer activities, or emergency response follow guidelines.

• Identify field challenges and provide solutions or escalate issues to management.

• Ensure adherence to safeguarding, PSEA, and other organizational policies in field operations.

• Prepare Upazila-level monthly progress reports and activity documentation.

• Maintain inventory of project materials at Upazila level.

• Support external visitors, donor missions, and evaluation teams.

• Promote community accountability mechanisms (complaint response, feedback systems).

• As per project budget.
