Responsibilities & Context:
Ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑efficient use of company vehicles and drivers.
Reporting
Reports to: Admin Manager
Supervises: Drivers, Transport Assistant/Coordinator
Core Duties
Schedule/assign vehicles; optimize routes and pooling.
Maintain daily trip logs (start/end km, fuel, purpose, driver).
Approve/track fuel usage; monitor consumption vs. benchmarks.
Plan preventive maintenance; coordinate repairs and breakdowns.
Keep all vehicle documents valid (registration, insurance, tax, fitness, emission).
Manage drivers: rosters, attendance, discipline, and basic training.
Handle vendor coordination (fuel, workshops, rentals) within budgets.
Track fleet assets and records (vehicle master, tools, GPS, fuel cards).
Report and investigate incidents/accidents.
Prepare monthly report: utilization, fuel efficiency, cost per km, downtime.
Approve routine fuel/maintenance within limits; escalate major spends
Issue operational instructions to drivers.
