Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters preferably in Social Science/ Science/ Commerce or any other relevant discipline from any recognised university
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Understand the meaning and context of the materials to be translated and convert these into English/Bangla, making sure to preserve the original meaning of the document in consideration with Rohingya context.
∎ Consult with subject based material developers, specialists, consultants and other colleagues, as and when needed, in order to understand specialized concepts for appropriate translation.
∎ Ensure spell check, grammar, appropriate usage of words and terms considering the context.
∎ Follow up of assigned task with material developers, specialists and other colleagues to ensure satisfaction and understanding conserving the language, meaning and context.
∎ Translate materials so that these convey the meaning of the original document as clearly as possible.
∎ Manage assigned work schedules to meet deadlines. Proof read and incorporate editor's feedback in final translated versions of the materials.
∎ Submit soft and hard copies of translated materials in BRAC specified font and size.
∎ Complete assigned work accurately and within specified time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Communication and Problem solving skills.
∎ Writing and speaking skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Working in different types of education related materials or documents.
∎ Knowledge on teaching and learning aspects in the stages of early learning or primary or secondary education.
∎ Minimum 4 years' of experience at translation work or teaching or training experience in English/ Bangla
Salary: Negotiable
