Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum B.Sc (Hon's) in Fisheries/Zoology.
∎ Preference will be given for M.Sc. Degree in relevant subject.

Job Context:
∎ Centre for Community Development Assistance (CCDA)in collaboration with PKSF is implementing a sub-project of ÒPromoting Sustainable Aquaculture Centric Enterprises in the Floodplain area of Cumilla District" under Sustainable Enterprise Project (SEP). To the implementation of the project CCDA is inviting application to recruit project Staff from qualified Bangladeshi candidates.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual for1 Year (extendable upon performance).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The duties and responsibilities of the Technical Officer (fisheries) are as follows:
∎ Implement the sub-project activities.
∎ Work with the SEP team to formulate plans and ensure effective implementation of the plan.
∎ Identify new/improved environment friendly aquaculture technologies for floodplain and pond based aquaculture
∎ Provide technical support to Micro-enterprises (MEs) through linkage with value chain actors to solve problems.
∎ Capacity building of ME on Good Aquaculture Practice (GAqP)
∎ Maintain linkages with different value chain actors (hatchery owners, inputs sellers, market actors, transporter etc.).
∎ Impart training on new/improved environment friendly aquaculture technologies, set up demonstration, arrange farmers field day, exposure visit etc.
∎ Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, seminars etc;
∎ Visit sub-projects to identify opportunities and constraints, monitor progress and observe impacts
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Minimum 01 year of working experience.
∎ Have knowledge on fisheries related Technical support.
∎ Have knowledge on Biofloc Fish Farming technology
∎ Field level experience on different activities such as workshop, seminar and have a good command on mitigation different Technical issue.
∎ Able to show experience of working with National / International NGO and experience of working in the remote area preference.
∎ Excellent communications skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Good knowledge in computer application software.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
∎ Strong Analytical and Report-writing skills.
∎ Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
∎ Willingness to travel to, and work in, remote areas.
∎ Ability to drive motorcycle.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 30,000/- per month, Consolidated and other admissible benefits as per organizational policy as well as the project.
