Experience with industrial boilers, preferably steam boilers, and operation using LPG/Diesel will be preferred.
Responsibilities & Context:
§ Operate the boiler according to approved SOPs, manufacturer guidelines, and safety requirements.
§ Monitor boiler pressure, temperature, water level, steam pressure, fuel consumption, and other operating parameters.
§ Start up and shut down the boiler safely as per standard operating procedures.
§ Maintain the required steam pressure and ensure uninterrupted steam supply to production.
§ Check and operate feed-water pumps, blowdown systems, water treatment systems, fuel systems, valves, gauges, and related equipment.
§ Conduct regular inspection of the boiler, steam lines, pumps, burners, safety valves, pressure gauges, and other associated equipment.
§ Perform routine boiler blowdown and ensure proper boiler-water quality.
§ Maintain proper boiler water level and monitor water-treatment parameters.
§ Identify abnormal conditions, leakage, unusual noise, vibration, pressure fluctuations, or other operational problems and immediately report them to the supervisor.
§ Maintain daily boiler operation logs, including operating hours, pressure, temperature, fuel consumption, water level, chemical usage, and other relevant data.
§ Assist the Engineering/Maintenance team during preventive and corrective maintenance.
§ Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the boiler room and surrounding area.
§ Follow all factory safety, fire safety, environmental, and occupational health requirements.
§ Ensure proper storage and handling of boiler fuel, chemicals, and other materials.
§ Immediately report any boiler malfunction, safety hazard, or emergency situation to the concerned authority.
§ Participate in emergency drills, safety training, and other required training programs.
§ Ensure that unauthorized persons do not enter or operate the boiler system.
§ Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor/management.
