Responsibilities & Context:

Genius Farms Limited is looking for an *experienced, research-oriented Agriculturalist* to support our agriculture research, AgriTech solutions, AI/ML initiatives, agricultural content, and development projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of *crop diseases, pests, soil, crop production, and farming practices in Bangladesh*, along with the ability to conduct research, prepare and validate agricultural content, support agriculture-related datasets, and communicate professionally with government, research, NGO, INGO, and development-sector organizations.

Job Responsibilities

* Conduct *research and R&D on agricultural issues, challenges, farming practices, and emerging opportunities in Bangladesh*.

* Research the needs, practices, challenges, and behavior of *farmers across different regions of Bangladesh*.

* Research *global agricultural trends, technologies, innovations, and best practices* and assess their relevance to Bangladesh.

* *Prepare, review, and validate agricultural content* related to crops, diseases, pests, soil, fertilizers, plant nutrition, crop management, and good agricultural practices.

* Ensure agricultural information and recommendations are technically accurate and supported by *reliable scientific, research, and government sources*.

* Convert technical agricultural information into *simple and practical farmer-friendly content*.

* Regularly review and update existing agricultural content and knowledge databases.

* Work closely with the *AI/ML Team* to prepare, organize, annotate, review, and validate agricultural datasets.

* Provide technical agricultural expertise for AI-based solutions related to *crop, disease, pest, soil, and agricultural advisory*.

* Review and validate agriculture-related outputs generated by AI systems.

* Maintain *business, technical, and project communication* with national agricultural organizations including *BARI, BRRI, BARC, BINA, DAE*, agricultural universities, research institutes, and other relevant organizations.

* Communicate and coordinate with the *Ministry of Agriculture* and other relevant government agencies.

* Maintain professional communication with *NGOs, INGOs, development agencies, donor-funded projects, and other agriculture-sector partners*.

* Participate in meetings, workshops, project discussions, presentations, and stakeholder engagements when required.

* Support the preparation of *concept notes, proposals, technical documents, presentations, project reports, and other agriculture-related materials*.

* Identify potential opportunities for *agricultural projects, research collaborations, partnerships, pilots, grants, and development initiatives*.

* Support other agriculture and AgriTech-related activities of Genius Farms Limited as required.

Educational Requirements

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in *Agriculture* from a recognized university.

* Candidates specializing in *Plant Pathology, Entomology, Soil Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Nutrition*, or related areas will be preferred.

Experience & Additional Requirements

* *Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience preferred* in agriculture, agricultural research, extension, AgriTech, agricultural projects, or the development sector.

* Strong technical understanding of *crop diseases, pests, soil, plant nutrition, and crop production*.

* Good understanding of the *agriculture sector of Bangladesh and practical challenges faced by farmers*.

* Previous experience in *agricultural research, technical content preparation, content validation, or agricultural data management* will be preferred.

* Experience working or communicating with *BARI, BRRI, BARC, BINA, DAE, Ministry of Agriculture, universities, or other government/research institutions* will be an advantage.

* Experience communicating or working with *NGOs, INGOs, development partners, or donor-funded agricultural projects* will be an advantage.

* Strong *research, analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills*.

* Good professional communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively with *farmers, researchers, government officials, development professionals, and technology teams*.

* Good command of both *Bangla and English*.

* Proficiency in *Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online research tools*.

* Interest in *AgriTech, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and data-driven agriculture*.

* Must be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple responsibilities.
