Experience:
B.Sc. in Animal Husbandry (A.H.) with M.S. in Animal Nutrition or a relevant discipline will be given preference.
Additional Requirements:

Strong management, planning, and interpersonal skills.

Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of relevant practical experience in livestock farm operations, particularly in fodder cultivation & processing and animal nutrition management.

WORKING CONDITION:
The incumbent will be based at the Company's nucleus farm/herd office and will be required to travel extensively to contract growers and field locations for technical supervision, monitoring, and research activities.
Job Context
The Scientific Officer/Senior Scientific officer (Fodder Production & Nutrition) will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring fodder production programs, conducting nutritional evaluations of fodder and feed, supporting research and development activities, maintaining production records, and ensuring a continuous supply of quality fodder for the Company's livestock operations. The incumbent will work closely with farm operations and technical teams to enhance fodder productivity, feed quality, and animal performance through scientific management practices. The candidate must be willing to work at the Company's farm locations and undertake field visits as required.
Job Responsibilities:
Formulate balanced rations according to the species, age, production stage, seasonal availability, and cost-effectiveness of feed ingredients.
Collect, preserve, and maintain fodder seeds and planting materials.
Select and recommend suitable fodder and grass species for local agro-climatic conditions.
Develop annual fodder cultivational plans and schedules.
Plan and implement fodder production programs for lean seasons.
Plan, supervise, and execute silage production activities.
Evaluate, adopt, and implement new technologies related to fodder production and animal nutrition.
Coordinate with farm teams to improve feeding practices and overall livestock productivity.
Maintain technical records, analyze production data, and prepare reports.
Ensure effective implementation and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
