Job Context

Prime Poultry Feed is a growing poultry feed business with its own commercial poultry farming operation involving approximately 40,000 birds. We are looking for an experienced and responsible Manager to oversee our poultry farm operations, contract farming activities, farmer network, and poultry feed business.

The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in improving farm performance, controlling operational costs, maintaining farmer relationships, and supporting the overall growth and profitability of the business.

Job Responsibilities

• Poultry Farm Management

• Supervise and manage day-to-day commercial poultry farm operations.

• Monitor flock health, growth, feed consumption, mortality, vaccination, medication, and production performance.

• Ensure proper biosecurity, hygiene, sanitation, and disease-prevention practices.

• Supervise farm workers and ensure proper execution of assigned responsibilities.

• Maintain records of feed consumption, medicine, vaccination, mortality, production, expenses, and other farm activities.

• Analyze farm performance and take corrective measures when necessary.

• Ensure optimum utilization of feed, medicine, manpower, and other resources.

• Work closely with veterinarians and technical personnel when required.

• Contract Farming Management

• Manage and develop relationships with contract poultry farmers.

• Identify and evaluate suitable farmers for contract farming.

• Coordinate chick placement, feed supply, medication, vaccination, and other necessary inputs.

• Regularly visit contract farms and monitor flock performance.

• Monitor body weight, feed conversion, mortality, disease conditions, and overall farm performance.

• Provide practical guidance to farmers to improve production efficiency.

• Maintain individual records and performance reports of contract farmers.

• Coordinate bird collection/marketing and farmer settlements.

• Resolve farmer-related operational issues and maintain strong professional relationships.

• Expand and develop the contract farmer network when required.

• Poultry Feed Business Management

• Supervise daily operations of the poultry feed business.

• Monitor feed purchase, stock, sales, distribution, and inventory.

• Maintain accurate sales and stock records.

• Develop relationships with poultry farmers, dealers, customers, and suppliers.

• Monitor market demand and customer requirements.

• Support business development and expansion of the Prime Poultry Feed customer network.

• Monitor outstanding payments and assist in proper collection.

• Prepare regular reports for the Proprietor.
