# Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, filming, and editing engaging video content for GFL's brands and initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
* Produce high-quality promotional reels for products and services
* Create engaging short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
* Film educational and training videos in both indoor and outdoor environments
* Capture behind-the-scenes content, interviews, testimonials, and events
* Record workshops, training sessions, seminars, and field activities
* Produce documentary-style videos highlighting projects, people, success stories, and community impact
* Travel to project locations when required for filming
* Organize, manage, and back up raw footage and completed projects
* Work closely with the marketing team to execute approved content plans

# Video Editing & Creative Standards
The Intern Content Creator is expected to produce videos that are modern, engaging, and optimized for today's social media platforms.
Editing should follow the latest trends and best practices across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn to maximize viewer retention, engagement, and conversions.
Every video should be professionally edited and may include, where appropriate:
* Motion graphics
* Animated text
* Kinetic typography
* Infographics
* Icons and visual callouts
* Animated statistics and charts
* Screen recordings
* Zoom effects and punch-ins
* Smooth transitions
* Motion tracking
* Visual effects
* Sound design and sound effects
* Background music
* Color correction and color grading
* Professional captions and subtitles
* Platform-specific video formatting
* Brand logos and visual identity
* Call-to-action animations
* End screens and branded outros
Candidates are expected to continuously learn and apply the latest video editing styles, social media trends, storytelling techniques, camera movements, transitions, and animation styles to keep our content fresh, engaging, and competitive.

# Daily Responsibilities
The intern will:
* Film content according to the content schedule
* Edit reels, promotional videos, and educational videos
* Capture additional B-roll footage whenever possible
* Organize and back up project files
* Coordinate with the marketing team regarding content requirements
* Follow creative briefs and production schedules
* Submit completed videos within agreed timelines
* Continuously improve editing quality through research and experimentation
# Required Skills
The ideal candidate should have:
* Basic knowledge of videography and cinematography
* Basic to intermediate video editing skills
* Ability to shoot using DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or smartphones
* Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software
* Understanding of social media video formats and platform requirements
* Ability to create engaging captions, transitions, and visual effects
* Strong storytelling ability
* Creativity and attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to travel for shoots when required
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Experience with motion graphics, Adobe After Effects, animation, drone videography, or photography will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
