Dhaka Xpress is looking for a talented, experienced, and responsible Newsroom Editor to join our growing digital news team.
Position
Newsroom Editor
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor breaking news and important developments throughout the day. Edit and refine news reports for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and presentation.
• Verify information and ensure proper sourcing before publication.
Write and edit headlines, captions, thumbnails, and social media copy.
• Coordinate with reporters and the newsroom team to ensure timely publication.
• Identify important national and international news stories.
• Maintain professional journalistic standards and editorial quality.
• Work efficiently under tight deadlines, especially during breaking news.
Requirements
• Experience in journalism, digital media, or newsroom operations.
• Strong Bangla writing and editing skills.
• Good knowledge of current affairs, national and international news.
• Excellent headline-writing and news judgment skills.
•
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with digital news platforms, YouTube, Facebook, and other social
media is an advantage.
• Candidates with newsroom editing experience will be preferred.
