Skills Required: Additional Requirements: Master’s degree in any discipline.
At least six years of experience in community-based activities focused on church and community transformation, community development, and social protection.
Candidates with a Training in Theology/Umoja Process/CCT process/basic mental health and human trafficking will be given priority.
Applicants for this position should have good computer knowledge, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, and excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential, as well as the ability to produce quality reports.
A valid motorcycle driving license is required.
Responsibilities & Context: Job Summary:
Technical Coordinator will oversee church members’ capacity building, enhance advocacy skills, and maintain relationships with community groups and local authorities for sustainable services. Supportive supervision and networking skills with government and NGOs are required. Multilingual abilities and a strong understanding of local social issues are necessary for this role to ensure smooth program operations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Service Delivery
- Conduct baseline, endline, and Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) surveys within selected church communities to assess progress and impact.
- Support church leaders in implementing and facilitating the Umoja process to foster self-reliance and community-driven development.
- Assist local churches in developing annual church, community, and social development plans, including resource mapping for effective resource allocation.
- Provide guidance and support to the church and Inter-Church Network (ICN) leaders for the effective functioning of groups such as Local Church Coordination Committees (LCCCs), Watch Committees (WC), Ward Disaster Management Committees (WDMCs), Participatory Actions for Development (PAD) groups, and Bible Study Groups.
- Help local churches activate and strengthen LCCCs and ICNs to enhance collaboration and community engagement.
- Assist in providing capacity development training for youth groups in local churches as per project design and objectives.
- Regularly visit field activities and committee meetings to provide encouragement, technical support, and constructive feedback to Community Facilitators, BSG facilitators, church leaders, committee members, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise day-to-day management of CCTP activities, ensuring the effective functioning of LCCCs, WDMCs, ICNs, WC, PAD groups, and Bible Study Groups to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Provide management support by facilitating regular weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly meetings for various groups.
- Monitor and evaluate project activities through regular field visits, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and the Light Wheel tool to measure community transformation progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to project requirements and take timely action based on findings.
- Ensure the mobilization of target communities for church development activities, encouraging their participation and action toward project goals.
- Coordinate project activities with relevant government and non-government organizations at the Upazila and District levels, ensuring necessary administrative and technical support from local bodies and GoB networks.
- Supervise and mentor Community Facilitators (CFs) to build their capacity and skills, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of program interventions.
- Take responsibility for any additional tasks assigned by Project Manager (PM) or CHDP Director as required for the smooth operation of LAMB Project
- Capacity Building
- Design and develop comprehensive training curricula and workshop materials for church and community leaders, Inter-Church Network (ICN) leaders, and Bible Study Groups focused on capacity development.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to equip leaders of targeted local churches with the skills to effectively run the Umoja Process, Bible Study sessions, and social development programs.
- Ensure that each targeted church community develops and implements a clear action plan and budget aligned with project goals.
- Provide management, supervision, and monitoring support to ICNs through regular workshops and training sessions to strengthen their leadership capabilities.
- Organize capacity-building programs for project staff, especially Bible Study Group Facilitators, church and ICN leaders, and social workers, covering roles, responsibilities, planning, and monitoring strategies.
- Conduct specialized training/workshops on topics such as project implementation, child protection, safeguarding, moral values, anti-drug awareness, clean environments, leadership, interfaith dialogue, data tracking and analysis systems, and donor compliance.
- Facilitate training for vulnerable church and community members on Income Generating Activities (IGA) and alternative livelihoods, while establishing linkages with relevant government (GO) and non-government organizations (NGOs) to boost resilience and confidence.
- Support church leaders in raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse through regular public speeches, meetings, and community outreach activities.
- Organize regular monthly staff meetings to review reports, monitor progress, and plan upcoming activities effectively.
- Provide supportive supervision for outreach and peripheral project activities, ensuring smooth execution and quality assurance.
- Strengthen the capacity of churches and communities to ensure long-term project sustainability and self-reliance.
- Assist in organizing revival and spiritual seminars focused on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and mobilizing church and community engagement.
- Identify and prioritize vulnerable and hard-to-reach church and community members, ensuring they receive appropriate support and resources from the project.
- Impact Assessment/Monitoring/Evaluation/Reporting
- Ensure smooth and accurate data collection, recording, and reporting of statistics and other relevant information on CCT programs, with timely submission to LAMB.
- Regularly assess the spiritual and socio-economic changes among local churches and beneficiaries, using appropriate and timely evaluation methods.
- Establish and maintain participatory monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems at the field level to promote community involvement and accountability.
- Document program impacts, success stories, and lessons learned effectively to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure that duty bearers actively engage in initiatives that promote the sustainability of program outcomes.
- Support the Project Manager and other officials in preparing comprehensive reports for donors, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with donor requirements.
- Networking and Dissemination
- Organize activities to disseminate the impact of the Community Safety Shield (CS2) Project among churches, communities, NGOs, and government stakeholders.
- Implement awareness-raising initiatives to promote church and community mobilization programs within LAMB and among local churches and communities.
- Actively participate in coordination meetings, workshops, and seminars at the Union and Upazila levels.
- Initiate and facilitate dissemination meetings with government organizations (GO) and international/national NGOs (I/NGOs) to promote church and community transformation by linking vulnerable individuals to local resource departments for better access to GO/NGO opportunities.
- Conduct advocacy meetings with government departments, NGOs, and social service organizations to ensure access to social safety net programs, income-generating activities (IGA), and livelihood opportunities.
- Build networks with Local Church Coordination Committees (LCCCs), Inter-Church Networks (ICNs), and local church leaders to implement CCT activities, focusing on integral mission, mental health, safeguarding, and environmental cleanliness.
- Foster strong relationships and improve coordination with local government bodies, including UWAO, UPIO, ULO, UAO, UH&FPO, UFPO, SUEO, UEO, UNO, and other NGOs, to enhance collaboration and support project implementation.
- Integration of spiritual, emotional, and social health
- Lead and ensure prayer sessions at the start of each workday, as well as before meetings, workshops, training sessions, and seminars.
- Support and encourage targeted local churches to regularly conduct prayer meetings, Sunday schools, worship services, Bible studies, and spiritual seminars.
- Ensure the availability and accessibility of religious books, reference materials, and spiritual resources in the workplace.
- Be prepared to clearly explain the LAMB motto and logo to anyone who inquires, reflecting a deep understanding of the organization’s mission.
- Serve as a role model by aligning all project activities with the organization’s mission, vision, and core values, setting a strong example for colleagues and community members.
- Administration:
- Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual action plans.
- Oversee project budgeting, including preparation, management, implementation, financial reporting, budget modifications, and securing prior approvals for project-related needs.
- Organize monthly coordination meetings to ensure active participation from various stakeholders and counterparts.
- Manage personnel, including facilitating in-service training and skill development initiatives.
- Approval of Office Assistant (OA) and Community Facilitators (CFs), financial claims, bills, vouchers, leave requests, and other administrative matters.
- Support LAMB HR in managing field staff personnel effectively.
- Achieve targeted objectives and complete assigned tasks within the designated area.
- Financial & Logistics management:
- Ensure adherence to proper bookkeeping practices at the project office and all LAMB-operated centers.
- Maintain financial records in compliance with organizational policies, especially for local purchases.
- Manage funds efficiently, ensuring proper financial planning and control.
- Oversee the effective utilization, maintenance, and management of office and clinical assets.
- Ensure proper requisition, stock management, and record-keeping for logistics, commodities, equipment, materials, and assets.
Job Other Benifits: Salary: Tk. 42,434/- per month gross. Other benefits include provident fund, festival allowance once per year, and critical illness and death benefit.
