Experience:
The candidate should have 6–7 years of professional experience in program management, with proven expertise in coordination and networking with government line departments of Health and Family Planning, as well as various platforms and institutions.
In addition, the candidate must have at least 15 years of experience in community health and development projects, with a strong focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), and adolescent health.
Strong skills in project management, knowledge management, stakeholder engagement, financial management, compliance, reporting, and documentation. Knowledge of health components, especially SRHR, MNCH, and Fistula programs.
Valid motorcycle driving license preferred.
Age: Maximum 45 years (Flexible for experienced candidates).
LAMB is a well-run major mission Hospital, Community Health Development, Training and Research organization. Services cover more than 6.3 million people in North West Bangladesh.
There are vacancies for the following contractual positions at the LAMB under Community Health and Development Program (CHDP), for Preventing and Rehabilitating Obstetric and Surgical Fistula through Gender-Responsive Reproductive Health Education and Strengthened Services (PROGRESS) project, with a three-year project duration.
Job Summary: The Project Manager will lead and manage the Project to ensure timely implementation and achievement of project objectives. She will maintain functional relationships with local authorities, GOB officials, community leaders, stakeholders, donors, and project staff. She will work closely with district and sub-district MOH&FW authorities to strengthen health service delivery. The Project Manager will ensure quality service delivery, supervise staff, support planning and monitoring, and prepare project reports and documentation.
Project management:
Oversee the development of work plans and intervention designs, ensuring that implementation activities progress as planned.
Proactively identify challenges and develop adaptive management plans, seeking feedback from LAMB management and execute it with key approaches.
Actively manage the budget by planning, tracking fund utilization, ensuring donor compliance, and achieving value for money.
Provide supervision and mentorship to project staff, enhancing their technical skills and implementation capabilities while fostering motivation and professional growth.
Maintain coordination, networking with all level of stakeholders relevant to project and engage them for achieving the quality programs.
All the project staffs will be reportable to this position directly and about 25 staffs/volunteers can be treated as subordinates.
Knowledge management:
Establish an effective system of knowledge management by maintaining knowledge development plans and documentation systems utilizing existing project resources.
Lead to provide training and mentoring to project team members, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
Identify and implement capacity-building initiatives for project staff and community partners.
Conduct performance assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance team effectiveness.
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, ensuring smooth integration into the project.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain effective relationships with government officials, community leaders, and other key stakeholders in PROGRESS project areas.
Facilitate alignment of project activities with local level service delivery system and to strengthen the system.
Represent the PROGRESS project at local forums, engaging with policymakers and community influencers.
Develop partnerships with local NGO’s, private sector for achieving project objectives.
Support to coordinate community engagement activities, including workshops and dialogue sessions, to promote awareness on MNCH & SRHR and fistula management & prevention.
Financial Management and Compliance
Oversee project financial management, ensuring adherence to budgets and donor requirements.
Coordinate with the Finance Manager to prepare and submit timely financial reports.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies, implementing internal controls to manage risks.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit regular project reports to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key activities, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and results, contributing to the project’s knowledge base.
Collaborate with the Communications team to develop impactful narratives and success stories.
Beyond this, Integration of spiritual, emotional & social health
Ensure spiritual concepts & holistic approach in communication, service delivery, administration and resolution of conflicts
Comply with LAMB policies and practices with respect to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunity and other relevant policies and organizational values.
Other responsibilities assigned by the line manager or organizational management.
Any other duties assigned by Director, CHDP.
Salary: Around Tk. 76,000/- per months gross.
