Responsibilities & Context:

Department: Quality Control

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the QC team in all daily quality control activities.

  • Plan, conduct, and oversee Pre-Production Meetings (PPM), inline inspections, and pre-final inspections.

  • Conduct weekly skill assessments and performance evaluations of the QC team.

  • Monitor and review team KPIs weekly to drive continuous improvement.

  • Provide prompt and effective solutions to resolve production or quality issues.

Quality Control & Audits:

  • Possess a strong understanding of end-to-end garment quality control processes.

  • Conduct PPM, inline audits, and pre-final audits with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Ensure full understanding and practical implementation of AQL standards.

  • Maintain and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Maintain all daily documentation, including WIP reports, audit findings, pre-final results, and KPI logs.

  • Analyze quality metrics such as DHU%, inspection pass/fail rates, and defect trends.

  • Drive root cause analysis and implement CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

  • Ensure timely shipments that meet both quality and quantity standards.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Coordinate effectively with merchandisers, buyers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth quality operations.

  • Ensure CAPs are regularly updated and aligned with buyer-specific standards.

  • Build and lead inspection and production teams with clear workflow direction.

  • Conduct staff performance reviews and capability assessments.

  • Develop and deliver training and quality awareness programs.

  • Support and enhance QMS initiatives across all production facilities as per buyer requirements.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of garment patterns, machinery types, and stitching classifications.

  • Provide technical input and troubleshooting support for quality and production challenges.

Communication & System Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Proficient in email correspondence and standard computer applications (MS Office, Excel, reporting tools, etc.).
