Responsibilities & Context:
Planning for the requirement of vehicles considering maximum utilization
Responsible for maintenance and supervision of transport fleet with optimum use of vehicles
Ensure the duty roaster of drivers and other transport personnel
Repair and maintenance of vehicles to keep roadworthy all the time
Arrangement of transport to meet the requirements as and when required
Maintenance of transport related all the documents (Driver's license is valid; insurance and all the taxes are paid in time and road permits of all the vehicles are up to date all the time)
Ensure the maintenance, oiling and servicing schedule of the vehicles is requirement put up for approval of authority
Maintain liaison and negotiating with necessary Govt. offices as like as BRTA, Roads & Highways, local police station etc
Create awareness among the Drivers about road safety & security, change of concerned laws/Traffic rules etc. as and when required
To ensure cost-effective operation
Supervise the functions of all ancillary services
Any other task as assigned by management
