Job Purpose
The CSR & Sustainability Auditor is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and verifying compliance with social, ethical, environmental, and sustainability standards across factories, suppliers, and business partners.
Better Cotton Implementation:
Implement Better Cotton (BCI) requirements in line with brand and organizational sustainability goals.
Ensure proper understanding and application of Better Cotton Chain of Custody (CoC) models (Mass Balance / Physical where applicable).
Support suppliers and factories in adopting Better Cotton practices.
Monitor and verify Better Cotton volume tracking, allocation, and credit transfer in the Better Cotton Platform (BCP).
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and correct reporting of Better Cotton usage.
Provide ongoing guidance to sourcing, product development, and production teams regarding Better Cotton usage and claims.
Prepare Better Cotton–related reports for brands, management, and external stakeholders.
Act as the focal point for communication with Better Cotton, certification bodies, brand partners, and suppliers.
Sustainability Standards & Certifications
Manage and oversee certifications such as GOTS, OCS, RCS, GRS, and related chain-of-custody requirements.
Coordinate with certification bodies, auditors, and factories for initial certifications, renewals, and surveillance audits.
Ensure correct material segregation, transaction certificates, and traceability documentation.
Higg FEM & Environmental Performance
Lead and support Higg FEM self-assessments and third-party verifications.
Review and validate environmental data related to energy, water, wastewater, emissions, chemicals, and waste.
Identify gaps and support facilities in improving environmental performance scores.
Track progress against brand-specific Higg FEM requirements and timelines.
Sustainability & Environmental Audits
Audit environmental compliance related to energy, water, waste, chemicals, emissions, and effluent management.
Evaluate implementation of sustainability initiatives (ZDHC, recycled materials, carbon footprint, water stewardship, etc.)
Review and update test reports.
Support initiatives aligned with ESG, SDGs, and circularity goals
