Job Context:
∎ Qatar Charity (QC) is a Doha based INGO working in the sectors of WASH, Education and Cultural Support, Livelihoods, Social Protection, Disaster Management in different areas of Bangladesh . Qatar Charity is looking for a highly qualified and professional person to fill the following position urgently for) ONE Year with possible extension.
∎ Position: Teacher - Sciences, mathematics, English Language, Arabic Language
∎ Gender: Preferably female
∎ Location: Dhaka - Outside Dhaka
∎ Job Duration: January 2023 to October 2024.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Planning and Delivering Instruction: Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, deliver engaging and effective instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
∎ Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, manage student behaviour and create a conducive learning atmosphere.
∎ Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding, Provide constructive feedback on student performance.
∎ Individualized Instruction: Recognize and address the unique learning styles and abilities of individual students, differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.
∎ Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and revision of curriculum materials, Stay current with educational trends and update teaching methods accordingly.
∎ Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills, stay informed about advancements in education and incorporate relevant changes.
∎ Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, conduct parent-teacher conferences, and provide regular updates on student progress.
∎ Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to enhance the overall educational experience, Participate in professional learning communities and interdisciplinary collaborations.
∎ Technology Integration: Integrate technology into instruction to enhance learning opportunities, utilize educational tools and resources to support teaching objectives.
∎ Cultural Competence: Foster a culturally responsive classroom environment, Respect and celebrate diversity among students and their backgrounds.
∎ Professionalism: Adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct, Demonstrate a commitment to the well-being and success of students.
∎ Reflective Practice: Engage in self-reflection to continuously improve teaching strategies, seek feedback, and actively participate in the evaluation process.
∎ Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and personal development, Identify and address the needs of students who require additional assistance.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good organization and coordination skills
∎ Effective communication/ Interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to teamwork
∎ Ability to attend to multiple tasks and perform at times under pressure.
∎ MS Office and other Computer skills plus adequate writing skills
∎ Must be able of speaking, writing, and understanding English and Urdu and good command over local language.
∎ Ability and willingness to extensive travel to project areas when and as required.
∎ Responsible, Adaptable & Flexible
∎ Good planning & prioritizing skills.
∎ At least 2 years proven work experience in the field of education.
