- Minimum of three (3-5) years of proven experience in a relevant field within the NGO sector in Bangladesh. Experience in School Feeding Programmes and working with Rohingya communities is highly desirable. Proficiency in understanding and speaking Chittagonian and/or Rohingya languages will be considered an asset.

- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Ability to handle work pressure and challenges and lead change management.

- Proficiency in MS Office, Kobo, Email, and Internet browsing.

- Fluency in English.

Functional: Senior Programme Officer
JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Project Officer supports the implementation of the School Feeding Programme by coordinating field activities, monitoring distributions, and ensuring compliance with programme standards. The role focuses on operational efficiency, beneficiary engagement, and accurate reporting to achieve programme objectives. The officer will work closely with local stakeholders, including government agencies, schools, WFP, and Refugee communities, to ensure effective program delivery.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Objective 1: Programme Implementation & Coordination
- Assist in planning and organizing school feeding activities in line with programme guidelines.
- Coordinate with schools, local authorities, and community representatives to ensure smooth operations.
- Support timely delivery and distribution of food commodities to designated schools.
- Coordinate with Programme Officer, MEAL, Field monitors and logistic teams for efficient delivery of programme and documentation.
- Participate in coordination meetings; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Objective 2: Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Monitor school feeding activities to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
- Collect and verify data on attendance, distribution; prepare weekly reports.
- Ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies, including safeguarding and accountability.
Objective 3: Community Engagement & Capacity Building
- Conduct awareness sessions with school staff and community members on programme objectives and nutrition.
- Provide technical support to field monitors, school focal points on record-keeping and reporting.
Objective 4: Safeguarding & Compliance
- Adherence to Child Safeguarding, PSEA, Anti Fraud/Anti Corruption, and Code of Conduct.
- Respect community dynamics in Cox’s Bazar, including Rohingya and host communities.
- Mandatory completion of safeguarding and security trainings and periodic refreshers.
