Responsibilities & Context:

Responsible for:

• Dispense Prescriptions.

• Organize and manage the medicine store, including the expiry dates of medicines.

• Communicate with the pharmacist and Medical Officer.

• Ensure Patients' Safety.

• Ensure the patient’s understanding of medical prescriptions.

• Stock Management.

• Maintain all records, including Stock Register & Challans, diligently.

Activities:

• Ensure the quality of medicines provided to patients.

• Ensuring that the provider of medicines is within the law.

• Ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable.

• Advising patients about medicines, including how to take them, what reactions may occur, and answering patients' questions.

• Ensure stock management and proper record keeping.

• Ensure the shelf life.

Skill and Competencies

Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Pharmacy from Govt. approved institution.

• Should have a license from the Bangladesh Pharmacy Council.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience working as a medicine dispenser, preferably in an emergency response project/programme.

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to understand prescriptions.

• Strong numerical skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Problem-solving competencies.

• Good communication and social skills.
