- Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in a relevant field within the NGO sector in Bangladesh. Experience in School Feeding Programmes and working with Rohingya communities is highly desirable. Proficiency in understanding and speaking Chittagonian and/or Rohingya languages will be considered an asset
SKILLS:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication with diverse audiences, including stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Fluency in English and Rohingya language; Chittagonian language is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet browsing.
- Cultural sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of PSEA and child protection principles.

Functional: Senior Programme Officer
JOB SUMMARY: The Field Monitor plays a critical role in implementing school feeding initiatives in Teknaf refugee camp to improve education and nutrition outcomes for school-age children. The position ensures effective programme delivery at the school level through close collaboration with students, teachers, refugee communities, and local stakeholders.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Objective 1: Programme Monitoring & Compliance
- Conduct daily visits to assigned schools to verify student attendance and ensure records comply with attendance cards.
- Monitor food distribution in learning centers, ensuring timely and proper delivery of biscuits and hot meals.
- Verify physical attendance in at least two schools daily, checking stock balances, utilization, registers, and compliance with programme standards.
- Monitor storage conditions of biscuits and other food commodities at school level.
- Coordinate with Programme Officer, MEAL, Field monitors and logistic teams for efficient delivery of programme and documentation.
- Participate in coordination meetings; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Objective 2: Data Collection, Reporting & Documentation
- Collect relevant data from schools and learning centers for baseline and end-line surveys.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on school activities and food distribution.
- Assist in preparing monthly food distribution plans, utilization reports, and narrative reports for monthly and quarterly submissions.
- Ensure preservation and proper filing of all programme-related documents at school level.
Objective 3: Community Engagement & Capacity Building
- Maintain effective communication with teachers, school management committees, stakeholders, and government officials to address challenges and ensure smooth implementation.
- Organize orientations and meetings at school level to enhance efficiency and management capacity.
- Support events such as Essential Learning Package (ELP) orientations, Little Doctors programme, and other relavant events.
- Provide special care and attention to children with disabilities.
Objective 4: Safeguarding & Compliance
- Adherence to Child Safeguarding, PSEA, Anti Fraud/Anti Corruption, and Code of Conduct.
- Respect community dynamics in Cox’s Bazar, including Rohingya and host communities.
- Mandatory completion of safeguarding and security trainings and periodic refreshers.
