Experience:

Project Brief
The Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) project aims to improve women's and girls' access to human rights in all their diversity and to advance gender equality in Bangladesh, led by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) and funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC). This project will focus on empowering diverse voices and strengthening collective actions to advance women’s human rights by addressing gender-based violence (GBV), sexual and reproductive health & rights (SRHR), inclusive economic empowerment (iEE), and the safety and security of project participants.
As an implementing partner of MJF, Amrai Pari Paribarik Nirjaton Protirodh Jot (WE CAN) will carry out the project activities at the grassroots (Mohammadpur and Keranigonj) and national level within the Dhaka district. This project will focus on issues categorized across various pillars. Pillar 1: Will support organizational capacity and sustainability in areas such as (i) governance improvement; (ii) financial system development; and (iii) policy articulation. Pillar 2: Will contribute to gender equality programming and advocacy at the grassroots level through (i) supporting agency creation, (ii) promoting women’s leadership, (iii) providing knowledge and skill building, to challenge social norms and practices that oppose women’s rights. (iv) implementing social campaigns and mass awareness events, and (v) facilitating inclusive economic empowerment and entrepreneurship interventions. Pillar 3: Will focus on movement strengthening through (i) local network and alliance creation for collective advocacy, (ii) collective movement building.
Job Profile
A Project Officer in a gender equality project manages the daily implementation, coordination, and monitoring of initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and women's empowerment. S/he will ensure that gender-responsive strategies, such as conducting gender analysis, collecting disaggregated data, and promoting inclusivity, are integrated into all project phases.
The Project Officer is responsible for supporting the effective implementation of programs by coordinating day-to-day project activities, advocacy initiatives, and movement-strengthening efforts at the national/ local levels. The role of the PO is to translate the project’s priorities into actionable plans, ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of activities, and support engagement with beneficiaries and stakeholders. The Project Officer contributes to advancing the rights of women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals, particularly those structurally excluded, while supporting monitoring, documentation, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals. This position is based at Dhaka with occasional travel to engage with project participants at the village level of Mohammadpur and Keranigonj.

1. Project Implementation and Execution of Plan • Planning, organizing, and executing project activities, including training sessions, workshops, and advocacy campaigns.
• Develop detailed activity plans in line with project objectives.
• Coordinate and execute day-to-day project activities.

• Provide logistical and administrative support for events, workshops, trainings, and meetings.
• Support community-level engagement and outreach.
2. Stakeholder Coordination • Collaborating with government agencies, women's rights groups, and beneficiaries to ensure efficient project implementation.
• Support women’s empowerment, collaborate with community groups, CSOs, WROs, and local authorities.
• Encourage collaboration with beneficiaries through Circle meetings, trainings, workshops, and more.
• Offer technical support to the Community Mobilizer for executing project activities.
• Assist targeted entrepreneur groups and beneficiaries during sessions, training, and demonstrations.
• Represent the organization in local-level forums when required through networking.
• Organize collective movement initiatives.
3. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation • Tracking gender-specific targets, managing data collection (surveys, interviews), and assessing project impact through both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Assist in baseline, midline, and end-line surveys.
• Assist in ensuring proper documentation of beneficiary data and activity records.
• Support feedback and complaint response mechanisms.
• Maintain organized project files and records.
• Contribute to learning documentation, case studies, and success stories.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly progress reports.
4. Capacity Building, Communication, and Reporting • Preparing progress reports, success stories, and briefing notes for donors and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in data gathering, interpretation, and preparation of monthly and bi-monthly reports in English and share with the Project Manager.
• Providing expertise on gender issues, including conducting gender analyses and identifying risks or gaps in implementation.
• Provide support and guidance to the front-line staff.
• Facilitate capacity building sessions for staff and community representatives.
6. Advocacy and Campaign • Create the gender equality campaign content, craft the messages, and execute the campaign plan.
• Plan campaigns and events to promote awareness of beneficiaries' rights and needs.
• Enhance community organizations and promote advocacy efforts.
7. Safeguarding, Gender & Inclusion • Ensuring all project components are gender-sensitive and comply with donor requirements, including using gender-disaggregated data for planning and reporting.
• Promote safe, respectful, and inclusive participation of project participants.
• Report safeguarding concerns following organizational procedures.
Working Conditions
The position is based in Dhaka, but frequent field visits to the working areas are required, with at least 80% of the time spent in the field.
Gross Salary: BDT: 3,90,000 – 4,55,000 (Yearly)
