Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology
Experience Requirements:
∎ 8 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ a. Responsible for managing fabric purchases - check requisition and purchase records in the system before placing an order with the vendor.
∎ b. Conduct sourcing activities as per the requirements generated by internal departments and make RFQ/ RFI to send to the vendors.
∎ c. Collect quotations/ PI, price lists from vendors for required products and compare with all possible alternatives before finalizing.
∎ d. Prepare comparative statement to evaluate vendor quotations as per quantity and technical requirements from users and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money.
∎ e. Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks to enable the organization to meet its obligations and maximize business opportunities.
∎ f. Negotiate procurement terms & conditions with the vendors before placing order and issuing Purchase Order/ Indent.
∎ g. Follow up with vendors till delivery of products. Check incoming products and take corrective actions if any discrepancies are found.
∎ h. Create Time & Action plan (TNA) for tracking work status and follow up regularly.
∎ i. Work with Inventory team for making, implementing & monitoring effective procurement/ sourcing schedules & stabilizing the quantity limits for effective inventory control (minimum reorder quantity, etc.)
∎ j. Good track record in Textile Industry
∎ k. Identify areas of cost control while working closely with Inventory team. Discuss possible actions that can be taken towards cost optimization, plan and initiate implementation after a thorough check and feasibility analysis.
∎ l. Build and maintain a strong network and collaborative relationships within and outside the organization with all parties that come in interaction (like vendors, suppliers, etc.)
∎ m. Vendor performance evaluation – Classification of vendors on the basis of criteria like product category, cost, quality, timely delivery etc. Give vendor ratings.
∎ n. Identifying new vendors & work with SCM Head in finalizing the appropriate vendors with best rates, quality & services.
∎ o. First level Verification of bills submitted by vendors. Raising debit notes for any shortage of goods received.
