Responsibilities & Context:
Develop seasonal collections based on trend research, market analysis, and buyer briefs.
Create detailed design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and sketches.
Prepare accurate tech packs including measurements, trims, fabrics, and construction details.
Collaborate with merchandising, sampling, and production teams for product development.
Monitor sample development and provide design approvals or corrections.
Ensure designs meet cost, quality, and production feasibility requirements.
Work closely with buyers and clients to understand their needs and present design ideas.
Maintain updated knowledge of global fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques.
Lead and mentor junior designers and support team development.
Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Material sourcing and development.
Industry Knowledge
Awareness of global fashion trends (fast fashion / modern design sense, seasonal cycles).
Knowledge of export markets (EU/US buyers is a plus).
Understanding of costing, material sources, and production feasibility.
Soft Skills
