• Optimize cutting manpower allocation to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and balanced workload across all cutting operations.

• Prepare and maintain accurate SMV (Standard Minute Value) breakdowns for cutting and fusing processes.

• Analyze SMV performance and identify improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency in the cutting and fusing sections.

• Monitor daily production, rework activities, and process flow to ensure production targets are achieved with minimum wastage.

• Develop, maintain, and regularly update the competency and skill matrix for all cutting department employees.

• Identify skill gaps and develop structured training plans to improve the capabilities of unskilled and semi-skilled operators.

• Conduct time studies, motion studies, and production capacity analyses to improve productivity and optimize resource utilization.

• Ensure the right operator is assigned to the right process based on competency, skill level, and production requirements.

• Conduct annual skill assessments and performance evaluations to support operator and staff development, career progression, and increment recommendations.

• Design, implement, and sustain Kanban and other Lean Manufacturing systems to improve workflow and inventory control.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by introducing innovative cutting methods, technologies, and best practices.

• Optimize cutting operations through method engineering, motion economy, workstation layout improvements, and process standardization.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate productivity losses and process issues.

• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Merchandising, and other cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.

• Develop, implement, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process standards to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance.

• Coach, mentor, and supervise junior Industrial Engineering team members to strengthen technical capability and succession planning.

• Ensure full compliance with occupational health & safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices within the cutting department.

• Identify, recommend, and implement innovative ideas that improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness.

• Keep abreast of the latest Industrial Engineering tools, Lean Manufacturing techniques, automation technologies, and industry trends to support continuous improvement.

• Prepare and present IE reports, productivity analyses, efficiency dashboards, and improvement project updates to management as required.
