Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Receive and Inspect Raw Cotton: Accept incoming raw cotton shipments, ensuring they meet quality standards and are accurately documented.
∎ Manage Inventory: Keep precise records of raw materials and finished fabrics, updating inventory systems regularly to reflect current stock levels.
∎ Coordinate Fabric Deliveries: Organize and oversee the timely dispatch of fabrics to clients, ensuring delivery schedules are met to maintain customer satisfaction.
∎ Maintain Storage Conditions: Ensure that storage areas for raw cotton and fabrics are clean, organized, and comply with safety and quality standards.
∎ Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align store operations with overall production schedules and client requirements.
∎ Manage Transportation Logistics: Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling deliveries, selecting appropriate carriers, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods to clients.
∎ Maintain Transportation Records: Keep accurate records of transportation activities, including delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance logs, and fuel consumption reports
∎ Optimize Delivery Routes: Plan and optimize delivery routes to enhance efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and meet delivery deadlines.
∎ Prepare Reports: Generate regular reports on inventory status, delivery timelines, and any discrepancies, providing insights to management for informed decision-making.
∎ Ensure Compliance: Adhere to company policies and industry regulations related to storage, handling, and transportation of textile materials.
∎ Supervise Store Staff: Oversee the activities of store personnel, providing guidance and training to maintain efficient operations.
