Scope of Services:

Statistician’s job will be contractual. Responsible to analyze reports from all sentinel sites epidemiological data, laboratory data and meteorological data of corresponding sites. His Terms of References are following:

• Analyse reports from all specified sentinel sites

• Analyse reports of metrological data

• Analyse and correlates specified health surveillance data with meteorological data

• Support to develop EWARS prediction tool

• Regular data cleaning and entry of epidemiological and laboratory results in the electronic system EWARS dashboard and DHIS2 (must match with field ID of patient)

• Technical support to implement and maintenance of risk prediction EWARS tools

• Define climate sensitive disease thresholds that could trigger early warnings for potential outbreaks within the EWARS framework

• Give technical support for trouble shooting for IEDCR specified surveillance related activities

• As needed s/he will visit to surveillance sites for any trouble shooting.

• Assist to develop data collection tools and processes, and corresponding data analysis plan

• Enter data and analyse according to appropriate statistical techniques

• Responsible for data management and preparation of routine data clean, validate, standardize and analyse

• Ensure quality of data all through the surveillance system

• Find out any data submission errors and other data error issues

• Regular entry, compilation, analysis and reporting of dengue, diarrhoea/rota-virus & cholera surveillance data

• Synchronized data monitoring and checking

• Support for preparing any statistical bulletin or report of the project by creating graphs, tables, charts and interprets thus convey result

• Support to IEDCR IT department

• Final report preparation on the integration of health, meteorology and environmental data into EWARS dashboard including lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for future action

• To perform other duties or tasks assigned by Director IEDCR.

The statistician will get BD Tk. 1,26,500/= (BD-Taka One Lakh Twenty-Six Thousand Five Hundrad)
