Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Ventura Leatherware Mfy. (BD) Ltd. is looking for a competent and experienced professional for the position of Senior Officer - Logistics (Customs & Transport). The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and compliant customs and transportation operations while maintaining cost-efficiency and timely coordination with internal teams and external authorities. This role requires strong knowledge of customs regulations, bonded warehouse operations, and effective transport management to support seamless import-export functions aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate HS code classification, customs compliance (SRO, Bond, Warehouse, VAT Act), and maintain current knowledge of duty structures, regulations & trade agreements.

• Liaise with Customs, BEPZA, EPB, Explosive, BSTI for permissions/certifications; apply clearance & bonded warehouse procedures.

• Analyze transport/customs costs; propose savings and optimize routes/schedules for efficiency.

• Ensure timely HK Share Drive data updates (Import/Export) and settle all supplier bills.

• Manage container booking, on-time delivery, vendor evaluation, and overseas courier coordination (portal/email/WhatsApp).

• Ensure vehicle maintenance, insurance, fitness, registration; monitor transport costs/budget and lead times.

• Resolve transit delays, coordinate Milk Run/Hub systems, and ensure compliance with transport laws/permits/customs regulations.

• Solve on-ground transport/customs issues promptly.

• Provide leadership, team supervision, and departmental reporting.
