Responsibilities & Context:

1. Conduct incoming quality inspections of all raw materials, including:

   • Leather (finished leather, suede, nubuck, etc.)

   • PU and synthetic materials

   • Fabrics and textiles

   • Linings

   • Outsoles, insoles, heels, and footbeds

   • Accessories and trims

2. Inspect materials for defects such as color variation, thickness inconsistency, grain defects, scars, loose fiber, wrinkles, coating defects, scratches, delamination, and other quality issues.

3. Verify incoming materials against approved samples, specifications, color standards, and buyer requirements.

4. Measure material specifications including thickness, color shade, dimensions, hardness (where applicable), and other quality parameters.

5. Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and prepare inspection reports.

6. Coordinate with Merchandising, Warehouse, Production, and Suppliers regarding quality issues.

7. Maintain IQC records and inspection reports.

8. Support supplier quality improvement by providing clear feedback on material defects.

9. Ensure materials are properly identified and approved before being released to production.

10. Assist in investigating production quality issues related to incoming materials.
