Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management or International Trade will be an advantage.

Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in commercial operations, import management, and LC processing.
Sound knowledge of import and export procedures, LC processing, trade finance, and commercial documentation.
Strong understanding of Bangladesh Customs procedures, Bangladesh Bank regulations, Import Policy Orders, VAT, and Tax requirements.
Practical experience in customs clearance, logistics coordination, vendor contracts, and landed-cost calculation.
Proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Microsoft Excel, MIS reporting, and document management systems.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple stakeholders with accuracy and attention to detail.
High level of integrity, accountability, and regulatory awareness.
A leading and diversified group of companies is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional for the position of Assistant Manager – Commercial. The role will manage commercial operations, including import processing, Letter of Credit management, customs clearance, logistics coordination, regulatory compliance, vendor documentation, and landed-cost analysis.
Manage end-to-end commercial activities related to local and international procurement.
Handle import processes, including Proforma Invoice (PI), Letter of Credit (LC), insurance, shipment, customs clearance, and delivery.
Prepare, process, amend, monitor, and settle import LCs accurately and on time.
Coordinate with suppliers, banks, freight forwarders, shipping lines, C&F agents, insurance companies, and logistics partners.
Monitor shipment schedules and ensure the timely delivery of imported materials to factories and project sites.
Review commercial terms and conditions in purchase orders, supplier agreements, and service contracts.
Maintain supplier contracts and monitor their validity, renewal dates, delivery obligations, and compliance requirements.
Coordinate customs clearance and ensure compliance with the Customs Act, Import Policy Orders, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, VAT, and Tax regulations.
Prepare accurate landed-cost calculations covering freight, duties, taxes, insurance, and other logistics expenses.
Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities across commercial and logistics activities.
Maintain complete and accurate commercial documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
Prepare periodic commercial MIS reports and analyses for management.
Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, Production, Project Management, Legal, and Internal Audit teams.
Supervise assigned team members and ensure the timely completion of commercial activities.
