Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Merchandiser holds the accountability for working closely with the team and independently managing respective accounts from product development and sampling stage till shipment ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and timely dispatch in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
∎ Independently execute Woven product development, understand latest fashion trends and develop customer specific collections.
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
∎ Continuously update the fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price idea for easy reference.
∎ Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
∎ Ensure production and samples follow up.
∎ Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals
∎ Prepare the QA files for on time handover for both buyer and HBS QA
∎ Maintaining good relationship with vendors for the best quality trims/accessories to develop samples.
∎ Source trims, accessories, and fabrics (both overseas and local)
∎ Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factory.
∎ Coordinate and monitor quality of the product through quality personnel
∎ Remain up to date with industry's best practices
∎ Place forwarder booking through logistics and monitor the shipment of the products
∎ Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization.
∎ Any other works as assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English & Bangla.
∎ Strong listening & presentation skills.
∎ Should have sound personality to work in team.
∎ Should have ability to accomplish the assigned work individually with creativity.
