Responsibilities & Context:

• Directed the operations and maintenance team, ensuring the seamless and timely execution of lighter ship voyage schedules.
• Oversaw inventory control, preventive maintenance of ship equipment, and emergency procurement to maintain peak operational readiness.
• Monitored and optimised ship movements, routing, and bunkering to maximise efficiency and reduce delays.
• Responded proactively to operational disruptions, disputes, and delays, implementing rapid solutions to minimise downtime.
• Generated and validated purchase requests, liaising with procurement to secure high-quality spare parts within critical timelines.
• Collaborated with headquarters to resolve on-ground operational challenges and sustain uninterrupted shipping activities.
• Audited and verified claims and billing processes, ensuring full compliance, transparency, and authenticity.
• Compiled and presented detailed operational reports for Management decision-making and strategic planning.
