Responsibilities & Context:
Job Summary:
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining product displays in a super shop (supermarket or retail store). The role involves assisting customers, handling transactions, and promoting products to maximize revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in finding products.
- Provide product information, offers, and recommendations.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate issues if needed.
Sales & Promotion:
- Achieve daily/weekly sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell products.
- Promote discounts, loyalty programs, and new arrivals.
Stock & Merchandising:
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked and neatly arranged.
- Monitor expiry dates and report damaged goods.
- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
Cash Handling & Billing:
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Process refunds/exchanges as per store policy.
Store Maintenance:
- Keep the sales area clean and organized.
- Follow hygiene and safety standards.
Team Collaboration:
- Work with supervisors and team members to meet store goals.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
