Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a few engineers to join our small dynamic team where the emoloyee will be expected to solve complex engineering problems that will have both short- and long-term impact on restaurant businesses in the US. The employee will have an opportunity to participate in the re-engineering of our entire pipeline of services leveraging his/her past experience and using tools and technologies.
∎ Work Hour: Monday to Friday (1.00 PM - 10 PM)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work independently on a small, agile engineering team and execute on your great ideas.
∎ Write amazing, maintainable & scalable code.
∎ Partner with product management to imagine, Design, Develop, Test, and Launch software that excites our community and inspires your peers.
∎ Be willing to explore and learn unprompted. Bring problems AND solutions to the table.
∎ Integrates and communicates fairly complex information within the specialization.
∎ Devises solutions based on limited information and uses past experience or precedent to identify solutions or to adapt existing approaches to resolving issues.
∎ Has a contributory impact on team/discipline performance.
∎ Accountable for meeting its own target which will impact the discipline.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong Object-Oriented development skills.
∎ Expertise in Java/ Spring web technologies.
∎ Experience in PostgreSQL or NoSQL(not mandatory).
∎ 2-3 years of professional software development experience or equivalent.
∎ Solid Computer Science fundamentals.
∎ Experience developing and maintaining robust high availability distributed software systems.
∎ Strong problem-solving skills; adaptable, enterprising, and willing to take ownership.
∎ Solid Experience in developing web services (SOAP/REST).
∎ Familiarization with AWS but not required.
∎ Experience using Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket, Confluence, and JIRA.
∎ Having experience with Bash Scripting & AngularJs would be nice.
∎ A high-quality bar; just-enough documentation, unit testing, code reviews, test automation, continuous integration & deployment, and a preference for agile methods.
∎ Great communication skills - the ability to think creatively and adapt the message to the audience.
