Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline with no Third Division/Class in any academic career from reputed university.
Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CHFI, ECIH, CySA+, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
4–6 years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), EDR/XDR operations, or IT security monitoring preferred.
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and SIEM tools.
Familiarity with EDR/XDR, SOAR, and threat intelligence platforms.
Practical knowledge of incident response frameworks, log analysis, and malware behavior analysis.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple incidents efficiently and work effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Team player with adaptability to fast-evolving cybersecurity environments.
Job Summary:
The SOC Officer will be responsible for continuous monitoring, analysis, and response to cybersecurity incidents within the Bank’s IT infrastructure. The role requires round-the-clock vigilance through advanced security platforms such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOAR to detect, prevent, and mitigate potential cyber threats. The officer will play a key role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Bank’s digital assets, systems, and customer information by coordinating proactive defense and rapid incident response across all security layers.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor real-time security alerts, logs, and events through SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOAR platforms.
Analyze and investigate potential threats, anomalies, and incidents to identify root causes and assess their impact.
Escalate critical incidents and coordinate with IT Infrastructure, Network, and Application teams for prompt remediation.
Prepare detailed incident response, vulnerability, and threat intelligence reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).
Assist in defining, implementing, and enforcing information security policies, procedures, and standards.
Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and support threat-hunting and forensic investigations.
Develop and execute SOAR playbooks for automated incident detection and response workflows.
Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity trends, zero-day vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
Support 24×7 security monitoring operations on a rotational or on-call basis.
