Graduation degree from a reputed university with no third class/division or equivalent CGPA in the academic record. Having a degree in Law (LL.B./LL.M.) or postgraduation will be preferred.  

Any relevant Professional Certifications will be considered an added advantage.

Minimum 12 years of relevant banking experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role in Recovery, SAMD or related functions within a bank or financial institution.

Strong exposure to NPL management for large SME & corporate accounts.  

Comprehensive knowledge in recovery-related regulations (e.g., Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Negotiable Instruments Act) as well as Bangladesh Bank Circulars.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate independently in field environments.



Responsibilities & Context:

Provide strategic leadership for the end-to-end management of the Bank's Non-Performing Loans (NPLs), driving recovery initiatives to maximize recoveries and improve overall asset quality.

Develop and implement recovery strategies for stressed assets, including restructuring, settlement, legal enforcement, and other resolution mechanisms in compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations and internal policies.

Oversee the management of classified and stressed loan portfolios, ensuring timely identification, monitoring, resolution, and effective execution of recovery actions.

Lead cross-functional coordination with concerned stakeholders, while engaging with borrowers, guarantors, regulators, and legal authorities to facilitate recovery and resolution.

Coordinate with legal recovery proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, enforcement of collateral and securities, and management of external legal counsel to safeguard the Bank's interests.

Monitor recovery performance and portfolio quality, preparing strategic MIS, regulatory reports, and management updates, and representing the Bank in regulatory, industry, and Board-level forums on recovery and distressed asset management
