Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or Vocational Training; additional certifications in handicrafts or tailoring are desirable.
Working experience :
Proven experience conducting skill development and vocational training programs, particularly in sewing, handicrafts, or related fields.
Strong understanding of gender dynamics, women's empowerment, and community development principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse groups of women and adolescents.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Commitment to promoting gender equality, women's empowerment, and human rights.
Assess current art and craft-based interventions and staff knowledge and skills working in Women Friendly Spaces/WLCC at the community level.
Develop the design of art and craft-based interventions in consultation with the community, considering the age and sex of the participants and in a culturally sensitive way·
Implement different designs of cloth materials, handicraft materials, and jewelry.
Search for talented and creative women and girls from each WFS and WLCC.
Provide training and capacity to equip community volunteers, and persons of concern to deliver Sewing and Handicraft-based interventions.

Responsibilities are confined to her designated project working areas.
Approximately 80% of working time should be spent in the field for project implementation.
Required to perform duties during any disaster or emergency situation as directed.
Normal working hours are five days a week, eight hours per day, with Friday and Saturday as the weekly holidays.
Additional work beyond regular hours may be necessary to meet project goals, within the limits of labor law.
May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the authority, in alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities & Context:
The Skill Development Trainer (Sewing and Handicraft) is responsible for understanding the project’s objectives and targets, and how they align with the organization’s purpose, culture, and ethos, ensuring adherence to its principles and the achievement of set goals. Additionally, she/he must have comprehensive knowledge of the rights of women, men, children, and persons with disabilities within the Rohingya community, including their access to and control over natural resources. Demonstrating empathy toward marginalized groups and a commitment to ending all forms of marginalization, she/he should provide sincere cooperation in the successful implementation of the project, with honesty and warmth.
Job Description Responsibilities:
Develop and implement work plans.
Organize and lead design-based activities and unique craft techniques for women and adolescents.
Generate and select innovative product ideas.
Provide training on innovation and enhance participants' capacities.
Develop training and session plans in accordance with guidelines and modules.
Procure necessary raw materials and equipment through proper requisition processes.
Conduct needs assessments for participants.
Maintain a stock register and perform risk analysis.
Form training groups and provide orientation.
Motivate participants and delegate responsibilities to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure participants are familiar with sewing machines and provide necessary materials.
Instruct participants on cutting and sewing techniques.
Provide vocational training in tailoring and product-making.
Regularly supervise participants' activities.
Coordinate with UNFPA and senior management of Mukti Cox’s Bazar.
Support workers in achieving targets.
Represent handicraft products at various events and fairs.
Facilitate visits by donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
Conduct market analysis and ensure high-quality production.
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports and logistics requisitions.
Follow up on activities and monitor progress.
Undertake any other tasks assigned by management.
Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program's objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
Authority and Accountability:
The skill development trainer is directly reportable to the Center Coordinator and is accountable to her for all assigned duties and responsibilities related to skill development activities.
