Job Responsibilities

1. Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and work schedule.

2. Ensure proper execution of riverbank protection and erosion control works, including CC blocks, geo-textile works, earthwork, slope protection, and related activities.

3. Coordinate with the BWDB Engineer/Project Authority, Consultant, subcontractors, suppliers, and site workforce for smooth project execution.

4. Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved method statements, drawings, technical specifications, and quality requirements.

5. Monitor daily work progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports, work records, measurement sheets, and site documentation.

6. Supervise and verify quantities of executed works for measurement and bill preparation.

7. Conduct regular quality checks and coordinate required material and field tests in accordance with project specifications.

8. Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities to ensure timely completion of assigned works.

9. Identify site problems, technical issues, and discrepancies and coordinate with the Project Manager/Head Office for appropriate solutions.

10. Ensure proper implementation of health, safety, environmental, and site-management requirements.

11. Maintain proper records of drawings, inspection requests, test reports, measurements, site instructions, and other project documents.

12. Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, resource management, and overall project execution.

13. Coordinate with survey teams for level, alignment, slope, quantity measurement, and setting-out works.

14. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure their work complies with contractual and technical requirements.

15. Perform any other site-related engineering and reporting duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Educational & Experience Requirements

1. B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

2. Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil construction, preferably in riverbank protection, flood control, earthwork, or infrastructure projects.

3. Must have previous experience working on BWDB projects, preferably in riverbank protection/river training works.

4. Practical experience in CC Block, geo-textile, earthwork, slope protection, and riverbank protection works will be highly preferred.

5. Must have practical knowledge of BOQ, quantity measurement, rate analysis, work progress monitoring, and subcontractor management.

6. Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, and basic surveying/leveling works.

7. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOQ, specifications, and method statements.

8. Willingness to work and stay at the project site as required.

9. Strong communication, coordination, reporting and problem-solving skills.
