Responsibilities & Context:
Manage day-to-day site store operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and recording construction materials.
Maintain accurate stock registers, inventory records, material issue/receive records, and bin cards.
Receive materials against purchase orders/challans and verify quantity, specifications, and condition.
Prepare and maintain GRN, Material Receive Report (MRR), Issue Slips, Requisition, and other store documents.
Monitor daily material consumption and maintain proper stock balance and reconciliation.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and report shortages, excesses, damages, or discrepancies.
Coordinate with Procurement, Accounts, Site Engineers, Project Management, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding material requirements and deliveries.
Ensure proper storage, identification, preservation, and security of materials to minimize damage and wastage.
Monitor minimum stock levels and inform management in advance regarding material requirements.
Maintain proper documentation of material purchase, consumption, transfer, return, and disposal.
Assist the Accounts Department in bill checking, voucher preparation, material cost tracking, and reconciliation.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock and material consumption reports for management.
Ensure proper filing and preservation of all store-related documents for audit and project records.
Perform other store and administrative duties assigned by the Project Manager/Management.
Candidates with an Accounts/Finance background will be given preference.
Experience in construction materials, inventory control, stock reconciliation, and site documentation will be an advantage.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and computerized inventory/accounting systems.
Strong numerical, documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
Willingness to work and stay at the project site as required.
