Candidate should have practical expriance of working in the same position in Manufaturing and Supplying unit.
Key Responsibilities
Manage overall VAT compliance and ensure timely submission of VAT returns and statements.
Ensure accurate calculation, collection, payment, and adjustment of VAT.
Review VAT-related invoices, purchase documents, sales invoices, and supporting records.
Issue different Mushok like 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, etc.
Submit Mushok 4.3 (Price declaration or co-efficient)
Maintain proper VAT registers, records, and documentation.
Monitor VAT deductions, credits, adjustments, and refunds.
Ensure compliance with applicable VAT laws, rules, regulations, and government requirements.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory reports within prescribed deadlines.
Coordinate with the VAT authorities/NBR regarding VAT-related matters, notices, assessments, and correspondence.
Handle VAT audits, inspections, investigations, and assessments and provide necessary supporting documents.
Review business transactions and advise management on their VAT implications.
Monitor changes in VAT legislation and communicate relevant changes to management and concerned departments.
Develop and implement internal VAT control procedures to minimize compliance risks.
Reconcile VAT records with accounting records and identify discrepancies.
Coordinate with Accounts, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Commercial, and other departments on VAT matters.
Review VAT treatment of imports, exports, local purchases, services, and other business transactions as applicable.
Maintain proper records of VAT certificates, challans, returns, invoices, and correspondence.
Identify potential VAT risks and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare VAT-related reports and provide management with updates on liabilities, credits, disputes, and compliance status.
Ensure confidentiality and proper maintenance of tax and financial information.
Typical Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point and accounting software Tally/ERP systems.
Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Relevant professional accounting qualifications or experience may be an advantage.
