Responsibilities & Context:
Operate Sewing Machines
Use industrial or domestic sewing machines to join, reinforce, or decorate garments or other textile products.
Read and Interpret Work Orders
Follow production patterns, blueprints, or supervisor instructions to complete assigned tasks.
Measure and Cut Materials
Ensure fabric pieces are cut to correct size and shape before sewing (if cutting is part of the role).
Maintain Quality Control
Inspect finished products for defects in stitching, fit, or overall appearance and fix any issues.
Thread Machine and Replace Needles
Set up and adjust machine settings including threading needles, adjusting tension, and changing bobbins.
